I need a GREAT moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for me. I have really dry ends that are splitting...and I know why, its cuz their dry and britttle. I ALWAYS make sure to put extra conditioner on my ends...but no matter what I do, they wont go away. please help me, when I straighten my hair it looks horrible. I HAVE to straighten my hair...but I dont do it everyday....i have tried staying away from the straightener for a long time..but its not working. please help..oh by the way, i would prefer a shampoo directed towards african american hair cuz im black and white...but i dont want mineral oil or wax or petroleum in it. and no, pantene, herbal essences, dove or garnier.Shampoo and conditioner?
This may sound suspect, but you don't necessarily need a moisturizing shampoo. Unless you want to spend around $30 on Aveda (it's all-natural), or the like, most shampoos contain detergents, a.k.a. sulfates (sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, etc), which can cause frizz, and dry out hair, depending on your hair type.

The best thing for your hair, especially if you're natural/relaxer-free, or have naturally curly or textured hair, would be conditioner washing. I use VO5 strawberries %26amp; cream.

That being said, you do need something to shampoo/clarify your hair sometimes, because of build-up. I do it once a week, before deep conditioning. For shampoo, I recommend Creme of Nature. (Green labelled bottle, not the red or the purple.) If money isn't a factor, Elucence has a great shampoo and conditioner.

**Also, when you buy products, check the ingredients. From what you describe, it sounds like the conditioners/shampoos you use contain a lot of silicones. If it ends in ';cones';, that's a tip off. Silicones aren't bad, they actually cause the hair to appear shiny, by sealing it, but that means no moisture is getting in to the hair strand, so for 'pooing/conditioning, avoid silicone-based products. And also, look for sulfates. Those'll dry you out too.**Shampoo and conditioner?
wow, you basically said no to the best shampoos ever. well sunsilk has really good shampoos and head%26amp;shoulders is not bad either.
I reccomend shampooing and conditioning with Neutrogena Triple Moisture. Look at all of these great reviews of the shampoo condtioner and deep recovery hair mask and their website:

Healthy hair tips:

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in-... to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

Good Luck!

It's called: Hair cut. You always need to have a monthly cut, to cut off dry and split ends. Otherwise I recommend Neutrogena's Shampoo and Conditioner - it works great for me.
